Hello, I've had an interest in cyber security for a long time but come from a non-technical background. I've been a little intimidated and but very impressed with everything about infosec. In the past ( I come from an era where we used typewriters for school! LOL and honestly, my family and I couldn't afford it) I'm just doing the conference right now and hopefully, I'll be able to afford to do the trainings later...
I want to learn as much as possible and I bought a conference ticket. This will be my first con. Any additional tips/suggestions/recommendations for beginners would be warmly welcomed!

I am also happy to volunteer if you need volunteers! I'm always happy to help! Although I currently live in Riverside, CA, I'm very familiar with San Diego and visit there often.
